It’s the kids fault so it’s the parents faults so it’s their parents’ parents fault for not pushing their grandchildren to have 6 years of experience before graduating secondary school

Another reason to use nvim over emacs.
Precisely what I needed today folks
Doing the Lord’s work OP

I’m not fully disagreeing with you, but blaming past generations is quite precisely how the boomers goofed as severely as they did. They played the blame game to the same tune we are currently, the only difference is they didn’t LARP and play pretend about it as shallowly as we do. If we want to be truly better we must first ensure that we don’t become exactly like the selfish demons we must vanquish. Otherwise evil persists merely in a different form.
It’s got to stop here with us–we are the last generation, all of us. Identifying core issues is critical–but the secrets of the Egyptians were secrets even to themselves.

May I ask why Zulip was selected over others like xmpp or irc? I’m just generally curious about zulip’s potential advantages in the long-term

Do you have any tips for others looking to move their matrix/irc activity over to simplex?

As someone whos familiar with irc, where do I start with irc3? Will I have to learn a new client?

it claims to be private, but also couldn’t answer me when I asked how I could verify that claim

wait, even if I only used duck.ai?

I almost fully agree Idk about ‘should’ just out of paranoia that I can imagine a case where criticizing without sufficient contrast or a consistent-enough background of otherness, could potentially have unintended consequences or surprisingly negative overall moral impacts Or maybe just paranoid idek

Can’t criticize unless an alternative is provided tho, can you?

Is this not especially tough to stomach knowing it as a fact in conjunction with it also being so hard to keep a job despite that element remaining outside one’s control

Pessimism is almost always correct, though I’m curious to know your non-historical thoughts as well if you have any. I don’t trust history too much; “Only thing we’ve ever learned from history is that we never learn from history”

If we know this trend is only going to continue to get worse, what are we looking at as the obvious breaking point?
There’s clearly nothing within the system that will self-correct it, so what will be the point of failure and I’m even more interested if you can guess how we get around the dilemma?

What is the other sides’ argument for why we SHOULD have billionaires?
Genuinely asking if they have anything tough to contend with or is it just another critical avoidance of theirs?

I’m not defending yt, but I am curious to know how specifically this isn’t mostly an overreaction if possible

Wait where does it say that specifically?

I vote for tariffs on the nukes pls taco pls

Missing a crucial point when talking to the one and only Ted Cruz?
I don’t believe you

I’m more concerned with how teachers weight ancient vs contemporary history. I feel like most things taught are so far back in such a different era, the truths must be significantly tougher to find/grasp, right? So why the back toward current timeline chronology? “The only thing we’ve ever learned from history is that we can’t learn from history”
Wait, why should we trust this data again?
