There is no way any laptop from 2021 doesn’t run windows well enough in a VM. Did you give it only 1 core? 2 gigs of ram? Did you not install the guest tools so you get stuff like 3d acceleration?
At work we run windows in a VM on 15 year old hardware with 0 graphics acceleration and it does A OK.
Settings > trackpad > click
You can change the force required to “click” the trackpad. That applies to dragging too.
Yeah just in case you overwrite the wrong one during setup.
Most installers don’t try to do too many weird things for boot purposes anymore in the EFI age. Just hit F12 on startup and pick the other option. Or configure grub afterwards to have the windows boot option.
With duolingo it’s not that it’s really wrong. The content is just so fucking bland it’s boring.
Their biggest push has been more content using the AI for ideas, and it’s been horrible.
Let’s be honest. You could make the simplest most intuitive UI and people still won’t spend the 30 seconds to read.
How? For all they know the mother bought them. That’s what the billing and shipping info says.
I’m so glad my city banned that shit.
More like DEI Hydrogen Monoxide
It’s literally just the company saying they have (will have?) this product soon™️, and someone reporting that. What exactly are you looking for beyond that?
Yeah it’s not the greatest UI. It’s in its “resting” state like in a car, but it makes it look like it’s so far left it’s off the charts. They should just not have the needle until you vote.
For an individual yes. But for an institution? No.

The same thing applies to houses and many other large purchases. Also most states that offer a trade in discount also let you sell the car private party (or to another dealer) and claim it on your taxes. You just have to file more paperwork vs the dealer figuring that out for you.
CPO cars print money.
Charge 3k more in order to give the car a once over and then offer a few years extra warranty that will probably never pay out that much in repairs (assuming there’s anything at all).
Also wouldn’t this be directing a ton of money to google? (or I guess any other ad provider)

While good for privacy, this sounds like an awful UX change for the average person. Some sort of nice toggle to disable it would be good, but removing it all together would probably annoy more people than it benefits.
That’s great if you’re in the mindset of “just wipe and reload it’s not a problem” But most people who aren’t chronic computer users aren’t like that. Spending 2+ hours resetting up their computer to be just like it was isn’t fun to most people.
