  • It is can’t because this is how the door gets pushed open to making more and more paid versions of the operating system.

This invites more capitalistic practices into the “market”, and is what starts the downward trend.

I’m ok with selling software. But selling the OS at all just seems like a big step that should never be taken.

Selling a paid upgrade is kind of a gray area, but it should be an extra piece that gets installed separately, cross-compatible where possible, and shouldn’t affect your ability to upgrade versions for damn sure. I’ve never dealt with it directly, but if it’s like you said and you need to do a complete reinstall to upgrade versions but downgrade from pro to regular, then you’ve already detected the first tumor.

  • Yeah, that’s another form factor for it.

But a sticker or magnet version of it means it can be stuck on cars, lamp posts, walls, fridges, etc. I haven’t put anything at all on my car since about 2004. But I would have at least one of these on all sides

It’s a victimless crime. Even his family hates him. The only people not begging for him to die are the totally out to lunch conservatives who aren’t plugged in beyond “vote R guy blue person bad”, and the other rich people.

And both sets of people I hate, so I really don’t care even if they get literal, actual trauma from it. I would gladly traumatize both of those sets. Forget trying to get them to be woke, I want them to live shook. Up to and including total mental shutdown.

Note: I’m aware that I’m crazy overestimating what this is capable of. But it’s intentional for expression’s sake.

  • My immediate reaction to seeing this title was split between happy AF “oh maybe he thinks he won’t make it to 80” and then “but what is he saving for that birthday?”

I have never honestly, purely, maliciously, and actively wished death on somebody currently alive (I’ve done it before for certain people to happen right before they did “the thing” they did) than I do now about him. Well, them. Him and the co-president.

And for once I feel no moral uncertainty in hoping it is the most terrifying, embarrassing, humiliating, depressing, public, well-captured (for historical purposes of course), and agonizing things ever experienced by a single human. By a huge amount.

Hitler may have tortured 6 million, but Trump is making 300 some million lives worse. Significantly worse. And if we end up in a war, then 100% of those deaths will be directly attributable to him, as will all the LGBT people that harm themselves under his reign.
