They’ve all got so much invested in AI that they’re not going to back off.
Any kind of acknowledgement of failure might pop the bubble.

I wasn’t talking about kagi, I was saying staying “off google” doesn’t mean you aren’t being tracked.

Its a good start but you’re probably being tracked by your credit card, supermarket loyalty card, TV, operating systems and any ring camera you happen to walk past.
Also I think a lot of supermarkets are trying out facial recognition for “security” reasons. But probably they’re watching how you walk and shop etc.
Thinking you can avoid it completely is bold. Data data poisoning is (maybe) the only way to break even with the data companies.

I’ve got a bit of cash for services I want to support, and I only use it as a good search engine. None of the customisation stuff. No AI.
And I find it worth it.

A lot of these court cases are taking a risk running at Trump and his pet judges while he’s still in power.
I know sometimes there’s a time limit on these things (and people gotta eat too) but a lot of bad actors will feel empowered to act with impunity to make these lawsuits disappear, or just get shaved/delayed down to nothing.

“Sir, this is a Wendy’s” “Where you you think we are right now?”

“Consumer weakness”
Wow way to pass responsibility for your own failing to adapt to a changing market!

I encourage everyone to check out the Knowledge Fight podcast, specifically the “Formulaic Objections” episodes series.
It’s “annotated” audio footage from the depositions of Alex and his coworkers/conspirators.
It is the best evidence that he’s just making it all up, and trying to make as much money as possible while dodging any kind of accountability.
Its also “annotated” by two real funny fellas. Worth a listen for sure.
Also some phenomenal work by the lawyers just constantly giving him just enough rope to hang himself.

No, you’re right, Ms Noem. The men’s appearances were not mocked at all by the South park team.

Its just a way some people say robot.
Often older folks or with regional accents.

Chat, is this AI?
And by that I mean Miller himself. Is he a robit.

I’ve been with them for a couple of years now. Unfortunately the devices just doubled in price but I’m very happy with them otherwise.

Well yeah, provided a “donor” or two doesn’t cut them off for it.
I’m grateful. It was the push I needed to stop using windows.
If they’d made it even vaguely tempting I probably wouldn’t have bothered.

He’s pretty untouchable.
Every government thinks AI is the next gold/oil rush and whoever gets to be the “AI country” will become excruciatingly rich.
That’s why they’re being given IP exemptions and all sorts of legal loopholes are being attempted/ set up for them.

I was being sarcastic.
They will for sure use things like phobias/weaknesses to psychologically influence you to get you out of their way.

They for sure won’t get hold of any notes about medical conditions (or god forbid, notes from your therapist) and use them against you if you opposed them.

There’s different types of vest, and they’re rated to stop different types of bullet.
If these guys are just pretending to be cops, they may well have just grabbed the cheapest vests they could find that looked convincing.
And a rifle round could have just punched straight on through a vest only rated for pistol rounds.
Also most vests don’t cover the neck or sides of the body. Or the big arteries in the legs.

I’ve been using mint exclusively for like 3 months and have been using a hearty blend of terminal installs and the program manager app.
It seems to not have caused any problems YET, but I’ve been assured it will. I see flatpack conversations a lot and don’t fully understand the differences (apart from the install method).
Is it worth understanding and committing to a single system or can I just be a low-power user for a while?
“Fake it till you make it” is a time-tested business strategy.
Especially when you’re considered too big to fail.
And also when you don’t consider survivor bias when trying to “learn” from the success stories of the past.
