When the girl saw the photo being shared again on the school bus, she hit the boy who she said was responsible for creating it. She was later expelled from the school.

Seems like she has a pretty strong case. The girl’s dad seems more reasonable than most these days:

Wait until you read about the video of this guy being beat up by police in 1991, and a jury finding them innocent. I mean, the verdict did cause a city-wide, multi-day riot, so at least there was some pushback from the populace.
I found a couple that almost said the same thing, but can’t seem to dig up the study I had read. That’s annoying. It left an impression because I too had thought (and if I’m honest, I still think) the more progressive thinkers have a better understanding and are better informed than our ugly regressive opponents. I was kind of down for a few days after reading that both sides were pretty equally shitty. Just in terms of knowledge, not life view or wishes for society/humanity.
That’s what I thought when I saw what Dowd said that got him fired. We have lawsuits and threats against the press. We have an armed force pulling people off street. We have a court that doesn’t believe in the Constitution. And yet people seem to keep thinking the elections next year will be able to fix this.
