Fascism is capitalism unmasked.
A cranky biologist who means well. My hobbies include long walks off short piers and anything science related.
Fascism is capitalism unmasked.
I’m calling shenanigans on the reports until they name some names.
I wouldn’t put it past any government to do such things, but drastic action like halting the rollout of solar demands some serious proof. I also wouldn’t put it past any government to just make stuff up to further their agenda.
In the case of this administration, Don’t Trust, Do Verify.
If you find such a tear down, I would love to know. But I think it wise to remain sceptical without solid proof.
Technically true, but only just recently. The LDS church still has a stranglehold on state politics. SLC is an exception to that, but no the Mormons are still very much in charge of the state of Utah.
I just can’t believe the contortions they go through to create this mystery that is so easy to solve. Sorry rich shitheads, you’re just gonna have to let us keep more of the wealth we build for you.
They do sort of, ‘prepared foods’ are what you get, grab and go style, at convenience stores and other non-restaurant venues. Anything from a corn dog to gas station sushi.
Medical miracle AND a manmade horror beyond my comprehension.
There’s got to be a name for this kind of method. I had a similar insight. I want to run for a public office as an independent and have one of my initial campaign pushes be about how I am the first openly gay person to run for that office.
The person currently holding that office is openly gay. However, he is very comfortable and no longer makes a point about it anymore now that he has a secure seat. I have no interest in holding that office. I just want to make him talk about it.
I as a working class, gay man. I am quite disgusted with the Palm Springs homosexuals who hide behind their wealth now that we have achieved a modicum of social acceptance. The fight is far from over for people who have to work for a living, so I thought about this as a way to just get people talking again about the needs of people who don’t fit the standard molds.
It’s not quite rat fucking but more the political equivalent of shit posting.
Every smart person in this country is the direct associate/friend/partner of someone with an autism diagnosis or has a diagnosis themselves. Many with that diagnosis are highly functional and intelligent. Many have positions of some power.
What I mean is, anyone that is abhorred by this and has risen anywhere close to a lever of power in this country needs to do something about this and all of it now. The troubles are not coming. The troubles are here.
This one is very clear. The NSF was created directly by an act of Congress. It is not part if the regular agency structure. It was in response to the Sputnik moment, where we were concerned about our ability to remain strategically competitive in areas of science and engineering. The executive branch can kindly fuck right off.
Sorry, could you repeat that? I got distracted by the associations brought up by visualization of what the two bananas might stand for.
Political parties can split. Parties can die.
Major upheavals in parties are inevitable.
We get the left party by splitting the Democratic Party. The Republicans are dead-old-white-men-walking, they will implode. I’m Team Hogg on this one
Bigotry is a correct word, but ‘animus’ has a particular legal meaning and these are the Supremes we are talking about.
“Re-allocate some police funding to support specialized co-responders!” just doesn’t have the same punch, does it?
I really want one of these paid protester jobs.
Nothing on indeed or LinkedIn. Any tips on where to find them?
Ok, then, that’s that. Tell all of your friends that there is now a rainbow target on Target.
Let’s see what we can do to that stock price.
As they say, the ax forgets but the tree remembers.
They acted like friends for years, but wouldn’t stand up for us at the first sign of trouble.
How are we supposed to feel and act?
Frankly, we are being a bit too mature about it
And the public response to this murder was met with even more over-reaction:
I remember that one and seeing it at about that same point in time. It was very impactful.
However…
We have to make it matter. It is not a matter of knowledge, it is a matter of power.
