Yes, exactly this. Many people just don’t do the basics and part of that is money. The labor costs are what get ya. The complexity of narrowing down what’s wrong as the cars are more computerized and have more electrical components also makes it difficult to diagnose even for the pros.

Key detail is that routine maintenance is important. Spark plugs, oil changes, flushes, timing belt, radiator, tires, brake pads, etc.

Hard disagree. Toyota has its lemons as well and people who bitch about problems far outweigh people who are happy and don’t say shit.

I’ve driven and owned Jeep (80-90 model), Eagle, Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai, and now Subaru and my vehicles have all been spectacular and lasted a long time with routine maintenance.

Do some model years or brands have some duds? Yeah. No one is perfect and plenty of other brands are just great.

Honda has been pretty good for years. I’ve seen scuttlebutt of people saying certain models, like the Civic, have dropped the ball lately but I cannot verify that.

I bought a Subaru Forester recently and it’s my first Subaru. LOVE it. I posted my pros in a comment above. My only con is the stupid large touch screen and the shitty software running it. I think that’s true of pretty much most brands lately though.

Bought my first Subaru, a Forester, a year ago and I absolutely love it! Quiet, has the room my family needs, got great AWD, more than enough features, the experience of buying it from the dealer was super easy, I have been treated well before and after purchase as well.

My past vehicles have been a Jeep Cherokee, Eagle Talon, Altima, Mazda6, and a Santa Fe. My fav vehicles I’ve owned and driven are the Talon, 6, and the Forester.

Well, as just one example let’s say a judge and jury can find someone guilty of a crime and be racist or bias about it. A President can have the power to then overturn that if, say, overall public discourse really believes that was racist and a very bias conviction and it’s pretty blatant.
