Religious people are counted on to support this. Not to sound like an edgy teenager but while you yourself might know better, the vast majority of people looking for a shepherd are sheep. And the vast majority of people signing up to be a shepherd just want a flock.

Apparently I’m not up to date. I’ve been impressed by some things and turned off by others. But I haven’t seen any workflows or setups that enabled access to my file system. How is that accomplished, and are there any safeguards around it?

While defending yourself in a no knock situation could be warranted, we can’t pretend that ICE wouldn’t have then murdered the whole family. You might be able to find a sympathetic judge and jury but that’s not worth much when you and / or people you care about are dead.

I guess it should be viewed that way but I always took it to be that the parents didn’t value education and didn’t push it on their kids, rinse and repeat. They didn’t act like they weren’t teachable, it was like they looked down on smart people, as if it was a cultural value.

I doubt it. There are way more error states than there are good states.
