Who’s getting constant MRIs as a “preventative” measure.
You know who ELSE gets routine MRIs? Alzheimer’s patients taking Leqembi.

This guy’s name is Adolf

So Nike sells limited edition sneakers that sell for far above retail in after market sales. That’s where medical device imaging is coming in. It’s weird but no weirder than like, beanie babies were. If you didn’t know that now you do.
You also catastrophically missed the point. Getting pissy because you see somebody wearing any particular brand is pretty ridiculous. All of them are supporting the regime in one way or another, you are, simply by existing and contributing labor to society. You can’t pinpoint a fascist by their Nike’s anymore than you could pinpoint one by literally any other shoe. Unless they happen to be police tactical boots (which are often made by Under Armor).

Some people buy products without looking too closely at the politics of the manufacturer. I would say that’s how most people buy things.
We all have to exist in this system whether we like it or not, and unless you’re living 100% off grid in a hovel in the woods, you’re contributing to the slow ascent of fascism in one way or another. Turn your justifiably angry energy upwards, not at your fellow working class brothers and sisters.

“a guy who exploits vulnerable workers in 3rd world countries to sell boujee sports wear to Americans makes a truly outrageous donation to ensure he can further inflict harm on the world without having to pay his fair share.”
Fixed the headline

Nationwide? Absolutely not. For specific seats where the only viable candidates disagree with the national party? Absolutely. Look the other way and apply pressure. Instead of turning their back entirely and letting them switch parties.

The Pope only has that authority on paper. Reality is quite a bit messier than that. The last time the Pope tried to dramatically change the rules like that it caused a schism that was never repaired. And that was just over having Mass in anything other than Latin.
Culture doesn’t pivot on a dime, and you’re suggesting that a cultural tidal wave stop and change direction on the head of a pin.

I mean, I agree with you but that’s not going to happen. It’s a rather filthy compromise I’m asking for but the alternative is reliable conservative wins in a district that should be purple.
The thing is, politicians are shallow and driven by money. They’re much easier to work with when they’re on your team and in your pocket.
I’ll grant you, the DNC would rather not fund candidates who will reliably vote with Republicans on a certain issue, I get that those candidates have well known and exploitable weak spot. But when no other candidate is available that passes that particular purity test, the DNC should be holding it’s nose and fighting for every seat it can get. If they control the tap, they can influence those representatives. If they cut off the tap entirely, those representatives go to the other team for money who will be happy to control the tap for influence.
The alternative is more reliable Republican voters, more reliably Republican seats.

I live in a fairly heavily Catholic town, and it’s a swing district. By in large Catholics are voting red on abortion and otherwise fairly blue. The maga signs really tend to thin out around the Catholic churches and last time I was over there, there wasn’t one within a mile of the cathedral.
This area would be reliably blue if the national party would fund local politicians who have unfortunate views on abortion. But they refuse to. As a result we nearly elected an independent to the Senate last year and are likely to elect one to Congress this election. Several Democrats have jumped ship and are now full tilt Republicans.

One time I ordered a plain cheeseburger and received a bun with lettuce tomato and mayonnaise and no patty or cheese. That was sadly not the last time I went to Wendy’s but I don’t recall it ever being good since then. That was maybe ten years ago and I haven’t been back in 6 or more.

The important piece of information from the article is the possible disruption to air traffic. That is stated clearly in the headline. The fact that she shutdown is causing it is a: pretty obvious given the state of the country right now and b: a reason to click the link if somehow you just crawled out from under a rock.
This is like, a textbook example of a good headline.
You’re just wrong my guy. It’s ok.

The only point of the headline is to get you to click. News organizations exist to sell ads. They can’t sell ads on an article you don’t click on. Every headline is literally clickbait if you want to be pedantic about it.
That said, THIS headline is not what anyone would typically call clickbait. It’s not asking a baiting question, burying a lede, or saying something that’s arguably untrue just to get you in to the article. “A person of particular interest to X industry says thing that he believes to be true about said industry.” The headline assumes you know a few things, sure. But it’s not a scholarly article, it’s allowed to assume you know things.

It bothers me more than it should that when you posted this it was about half an hour after 5 am in New York.

And angry mobs should be sent to hunt swat teams

Please, the rich aren’t spending a dime.
The middle class is giving 100 and low income workers are on the hook for everything else.

I don’t even know how you’d deprogram just that one guy. They get to a point where thinking critically about the crazy bullshit they’re screaming about just isn’t possible anymore

A guy I used to know, around 2016 started a weird descent in to conservative politics. It was understandable at the time, Clinton was genuinely an unlikable candidate and he was a morally dubious guy. So it at least made sense at the time. By 2017 he seemed to regret it and we all moved on.
Then in 2020, holy shit. It took literally nothing to bait him in to a political diatribe half a notch up from gibberish. He had invented so many straw men to argue with that the second you mentioned anything even conceivably political, he’d launch in to a bizarre assault on the left.
Thing is, he’d accuse me and others of loving Joe Biden even though x, y, z whatever nonsense he wanted to argue about. He’d even make up quotes. Things I’d supposedly said about Biden that proved I really liked the guy.
I’m so far to the left that Marx might think I go too far. I don’t, and never have, liked Joe Biden. Joe Biden handed Clarence Thomas a seat on the supreme Court and openly defended him against his sexual assault allegations. He went to bat for that guy in a way that really makes no fucking sense, politically or personally, unless Joe Biden had done it too.
I can’t name a Democrat I actually like.
So every time I see comments like this, I’m reminded that conservatives just have a forest of straw men they’re arguing with, and any opportunity the bullshit that lives inside their head can find to spill out in to the real world they’ll take. Regardless of how idiotic it makes them sound.

Just another measles outbreak to add to Kennedy’s resumé nothing to see here
Evidently people living in an area is an “unnecessary burden.”
