You would do well on the show.
It goes to his presidential library for the use of its staff after his presidency. He won’t technically own it, but he’ll be able to use its value indirectly. It’s definitely flouting bribery laws and daring anyone to do something about it.
I’d like to see a game show called “Bribe or Gift?” In which politicians compete for campaign funding.
Agreed. I can only imagine what their personal conversations are like.
Serj: Okay, this one’s going to be about the prison industrial complex.
John: Yeah! More prisons! More prisons!
Serj: Dude, no. Here, take these. Why don’t you go color something pretty while the adults talk.
John: [crayon munching noises]
That’s some 5D, non-euclidean chess right there. Start a charity that only pays out to ICE veterans who make less than the standard retirement amount, so it only covers those who are unable or unwilling to do the job. Restrict the posters to photos and names only so it’s clear that the charity isn’t soliciting hostile action against ICE agents but still gives potential victims enough information to evade most assaults. The “Blue Lives Matter” mob probably wouldn’t touch it with a ten-foot pole. Even if they do, the resultant infighting will still distract from their potential targets.
“For just a dollar a day, you can save this ICE agent, John Smith, and his family from a life of poverty if he ever leaves. He gave everything. Please just give something.”
[Cue Sarah Mclaughlin] “In the arms of the angel…”
You think ICE would do that? They’d just lie about their intent and achievements?
We were warned no later than 2001:

Thanks! It’s still better than Fox News, at least slightly.
“US throws surprise military parade in Mexico. Hundreds of thousands of Mexicans attend. Traffic jam as spectators laying supine in pine boxes clog the roadways.”
To be fair, he was known to carry a pointed stick.
No no no! We have to protect the freedom of law(ish) enforcement so we can have the freedom to freely free ourselves from the oppression of people who put paper signs on telephone poles.
That’s a really good point. If it’s such a terrible crime, let the public see it and decide for themselves.
It seems that way now more than ever.
I would love to see that. I’ve only seen a photo of one in the Fox News article.
The Fox article does have an image of one of the posters, if that’s what you’re asking. Sorry if it seems like I’m being obtuse.
The US did so much more damage to itself in response to 9/11 than the event itself, maybe even more than its perpetrators hoped for.
Sorry, I don’t quite understand. Would you rephrase that?
Don’t get our hopes up.
