Hey, I am also a fan of rotating my shoes. They do seem to last longer that way and are more useful over a longer period of time. I still have Pumas from years ago. They start as my indoor workout shoes, then they are the outdoor casuals, then outdoor workers. I move them to dirtier duty over time. My oldest pair (~15yrs) are on dog-poop duty and now never come inside, but they are about to retire permanently. The hole in the side is now letting in too much moisture so my sock gets soaked. They’ve been good pooper troopers!

Edit to add: It appears bitlocker has hooks in the TPM/bios settings as well. Disable bitlocker prior to attempting a live boot.

One could try a Live version for the distros that have that feature. For those unaware, the Live version is merely the bootable cd image (or USB image). Does no harm to the underlying OS. If you like it you can then install it.

There was even a recent scandal (Texas) about having other people take their yearly assessment/qualification exams for them. And even now Texas is wholly de-funding public education in favor of private indoctrination schools. Yay. :-|

Yes they are. I know you probably weren’t referring to this, but it is the opposite of sweet. It’s very heavy crude which is far more costly to extract and refine. SA oil is light and actually deemed “sweet”. Venezuelan oil is dirty, BUT (of more importance) it seems their reserves are the largest in the world. And even if it is crappy, it is oil and we seem hellbent on using every last bit of it. Apparently petrochemical industry profit supersedes the health of the planet and the entirety of its occupants.
