So install windows if you must have 2.1?

Or you could just install your own OS

Pretty much everything I’ve tried has worked seamlessly out of the box. Obviously, the same issues crop up as with any other Linux system: you pretty much cannot play kernel level anticheat games, womp womp. I might have installed my video drivers myself, I honestly don’t recall, but it’s as easy as grabbing them from pacman.
For my particular setup, I’m using an Nvidia card and mostly only use Steam for games, although I have gotten Proton to work with a couple of games outside of Steam.
In case you’re new to Linux in general, when I first installed Steam, I noticed I could only play a small fraction of my games and was disheartened, but you just have to turn on the Proton compatibility layer and you’re good to go.
I do also have a Windows 11 VM for any compatibility issues, but I honestly haven’t booted it up in months.

Let’s goooo! There are dozens of us!!

Excuse me, it’s the Gulf of America! And don’t you forget it!
salutes the flag, dramatic music plays, fireworks go off, and everyone claps as a single tear falls from my patriotic eye

Does she not realize literally anyone can go to Google Maps and see a flattened city?

Wtf kind of schizo bot posting is this?

Jesus. That’s insane to think about in modern times. With all the surveillance and data available, you’d think it’d be way higher, regardless of who the victim is. How depressing.

Well, in this case, how unprofitable a company is. OpenAI hemorrhages money like no other.

Windows 12 will be a realtime AI fever dream, generated as the user uses it.

I’m guessing if they’re too broke to switch their tech stack to Windows 11, a mostly similar OS to 10, the costs to switch to an entirely new paradigm is completely out of the question.

ChatGPT will remember this

The AIroboros if you will

Even if I do occasional turn to AI for some things, I absolutely do not want it to be integrated into my personal computer. The privacy implications are insane.
I’m glad I made the switch to Linux months ago with my Windows install being relegated to a lil sandboxed VM I occasionally use for the odd Excel task here and there.

There’s a reason I’ve always lied or decline to state :D

They probably just blame trans people…

Honestly, if you go that route I’d probably recommend using an LLM only for information and asking questions, but run commands yourself and actually read it’s responses. If you don’t understanding something, ask for elaboration. Otherwise, you risk too much automation, letting it set up configurations you don’t have actual understanding of and making a spaghettified mess.

Am I the only one who likes systemd…
