Just tell your friends and family to stop using iMessage. Like everyone will be ok to switch their routine just like that.

The US should not be censoring harmless stuff like this.

Sure, they can make rules for federal employees and using it on their phones and stuff, but they should not for the average citizen.

I am in favor of big tech being regulated in regards to the data they can collect and transparency about the data they collect and what they do with it.

That is really what would solve the problem. Not banning an app.
