You have an old android so I don’t remember how it was.
Currently there is notification/popup to enable mass storage through USB.
KDE connect works through network so not really through USB. (Works through tethering USB tho)
Also check cable as they ware prone to breaking.
It get’s better with experience. I have nuked my system countless times at the beginning.
If you are too frustrated with Linux maybe give it a rest or consider dual-booting instead. It sound that you are frustrated and don’t have a clear head to troubleshoot.
I also hate fixing issues but once you set your system up, with all correct nvidia drivers and couple other miscellaneous items (gnome extensions, config variables) it will be “smooth” sailing up until you reinstall.
Ok, but there is something here. in 99% percent everything works fine but when @[email protected] and I go to https://survev.io/ the performance is awful. Tested both on X11 and Wayland.
https://feddit.nl/post/34127250 just found your post and strangely enough https://survev.io/ IS unplayable.
I now run bazzite but arch and ubuntu worked good enough for me, definitely no 5fps choppines in the UI.
I run the same laptop with the same card, doing heavy work in blender and 3d games on Linux. What are you talking about?

Check of there are ROMs posted in xda forums.
Is the rust kernel drama over?

I have non pro version and I disabled the iGPU in BIOS it worked on ubuntu but battery was nonexistent.
Recently I switched on the iGPU. Now I tried various distros and Arch and Bazzite worked out of the box.

IDK if it’s the one but it has #linux channel
Thanks for the thankless work. I hope that the changes will be accepted upstream.

I have already switched after arch out of nowhere disabled ipv4. I tried using fedora atomic but the lack of non-free software just didn’t work for me (blender + hybrid NVIDIA graphics). I am using bazzite for a week or two and so far so good.
3d heavy modeling
Depending on the program of choice to go with AMD over NVIDIA will heavily impact your performance as cuda is better optimized than rocm. For me rocking rtx3060 it was hit or miss. It mostly depends on the distro if they choose to package the NVIDIA drivers out of the box. Some distros value freedom over usability. Right now I am daily driving bazzite and I am happy with it. For drivers its self I didn’t notice any major issues.
From your convoluted explanation I assume you have one PC already and you want to upgrade. I would just get a new one for work stuff and old one set up as “light work” as you put it or hook up to the TVs

Thanks, I have done exactly that. (root password)

Thank you
I had Sony CH-WH710n and no major problems.
Try to pair the headphones via
bluetoothctland see if there are any errors in the logs.Do you dual boot windows? In my case it couldn’t pair to both at the same time without extracting the keys.
I would try to see if windows pairs up with the headphones, after all other troubleshooting steps are exhausted.
