No one of consequence.
More like don’t let them bring Argentina here. Their current president is an ancap and the inspiration behind doge.
Hmmm maybe I’ll just learn to read finally.
I think we are talking past eachother here. We can talk a lot about what an illegal order is; how there is training to disobey one, but that is talking about how things ought to be not how they actually are. For example, we all have agreed to not speed and taken training on it as well, yet it happens all too often. It is not unreasonable to believe that a soldier will follow an illegal order because they want to or there is enough coercion.
WhatsApp doesn’t really have as much of the baggage that the rest of Meta does, but it is still their product, so I would move if possible. Signal is another good app to get people on. At least if there is a “core” team that is sourcing and redistributing info around should be made aware of privacy and anonymity, so that the network does not get decapitated so to speak.
The Hated One is a good youtube channel with resources around protesting. The guy is a bit of a paranoid, but his points still stand. He has some vids on how to make a burner phone. Some mesh network apps, and some info about removing metadata on digital files that might get shared around.
As we get serious about protesting we need to be serious about our digital and physical security. We don’t want to use pages that can be taken down, nor do we want to give information that will allow ICE to take down our resistance networks in detail.
Possibly does. On occasion I read about German cities trying to do similar, but then reverting back to M$.
Most of the issues are around people not wanting to take time to get use to new software (happened at a job where they moved to GSuite) or the FOSS stuff not having a corporation that can be sued for loss of earnings (like crowd strike when they didn’t read only friday). Note that these are not technical issues with FOSS.
Still there is political support to not just use this as an angle to get M$ to lower their pricing.
Be sure to let them know about privacy services. Don’t want them to be tracked doing the lords work.
Some patriot act vibes.
The titter side was better
Granted, this is not about the protest, and it is too early for that footage to be used so far. Still we know the current admin is not happy about any protest and was elected on themes of revenge. It is worth taking steps to protect protesters from being targeted in the coming days and weeks.
Waymo’s are ultimately used for surveillance to intimidate protesters. Ideally they wouldn’t get burned, but at this point they have chosen to side with authoritarians (tho that is expected of corporations)
Good luck with have positive results/speedy recovery.
Which is the advantage of SpaceX. As it is people are looking to cut money for NASA. Still, NASA has always subcontracted out, so absorbing SpaceX does not seem like it might change much (outside of public opinion)
Putting fewer people in danger than the pavement princess speeding though a yellow light.
^Because of your username :p^
Exchanges typically do this. Ironically its also harmful to the libertarian side if the movement. Keeps the coins use as speculation rather than currency, centralized since you are using a broker, and bonus is that it defeats anonymity as most brokers need to follow kyc laws.
Tho the real harm is the free market itself. No one cares about moving to it and the rampant scams deter mass adoption (even if people wanted). Neat microcosm of libertarian ideals.
Oddly between 5pm and 6am Delhi time.
Could add a user agent spoof?
Good concise write up
But if I don’t have a toilet AI how will I remember what I had to eat the other day for less than $4.99/mo?
