Exactly, I make a fraction of what you make and I could never afford to buy a house anywhere. Back when I first started renting 16 years ago, my friend and I rented a 2 bedroom place for $450 a month and now a studio is 4 times that in rural states.

The owner of the place I currently rent has surprised us with a Christmas notice that she’s selling the place and we have to leave by April. We can’t afford anywhere near here so we’ll have to move very far north and our commutes will at least double. Maybe triple. Locals are getting forced out of places they’ve lived their whole lives. This shit is fucked up. People are too damn greedy and selfish.

Same and I live in what would be considered a rural state. We don’t have any big cities and a studio apartment would cost me about $1500 a month about 50 miles outside our biggest city and $1800+ within 50 miles of Portland Maine which is our biggest city. This shit is out of control. Our wages are more in line with a rural state, but our rent prices are near what you’d expect in a bigger city.

I know. I only eat canned soup when I’m eating alone. If im making dinner for my partner and I it’s usually something more elaborate. I’m fine eating ramen and simple soup though.

$0.96 is pretty damn cheap and I don’t need to make any extra effort for all the protein I need for the night. I wish I had time and energy to cook more often, but I really appreciate having affordable options like this. If I was single I would be eating very cheaply with very little effort.

If the government really wanted to protect children from the internet they’d provide locked down devices with spyware to each kid or they’d force parents to buy locked down devices. They’d punish parents if a child used a device that isn’t locked down. If they actually cared about protecting children they’d monitor their parents with spyware too. Why stop with government provided safe devices and spyware though, they could install cameras in every house that has kids just so they can monitor kids 24/7.

Obviously they’re not going to do any of that. There probably already is spyware in most devices and it’s not like they’re using it to protect them now. Banning VPNs for the sake of protecting children is just as stupid.

That makes sense! Everytime I’ve heard about delta 8 I was told you get a small high without the anxiety and if you have issues with regular weed then this will be a much better experience. It was not anything like what had been advertised, but I guess it’s for people who already smoke weed and want to switch to something more mellow.

That’s what I’ve heard from others too. I’ve had mixed experiences with CBD tincture also. They all say there’s barely any THC in them, yet I do catch a buzz every once in awhile.

I just want to add this comment because it’s being discussed, but Delta 8 is much stronger than advertised. I used to smoke everyday and got into dabs for awhile. I stopped cold turkey for years and bought a delta 8 gummy on a whim online because everyone said if you have bad experiences with weed then Delta 8 is the way to go. Let me tell you that shit fucked me up badly.

I was in for a relaxing night just chilling with my girl and watching some foreign horror movie. I had such a strong reaction to Delta 8 that I tried to just lay down and close my eyes. I could feel every word that was spoken in the movie in my chest and fingertips. It was one of the worst weed experiences I’ve ever had. It’s so much stronger than advertised and I only ate half the gummy too. I didn’t have to upload my ID or anything to get it. I’m 100% in favor of full legalization of basically everything and letting adults do whatever the fuck kind of drug they want to do so this isn’t a post to sway anyone against weed or Delta 8. I just wanted to share my experience with it.

This brings up something that has been bothering me for awhile. It’s really been bothering me that when I look up an opinion Gemini will tell me whether my opinion is right or wrong. I knew it would be ripe for abuse.

That was my train of thought exactly. The people with the least amount of money are the ones most at risk, but advertising just to allies without letting the MAGA folk know is a challenge.

It might work best as a paid service. That was my initial idea, but even people who can’t afford protection deserve it so I scratched my initial response. I guess hit up colleges with flyers. That’s probably your best bet to find allies.

I’d be down to do that, but it doesn’t just have to be cis men. A gun should be enough of a deterrent for almost anyone regardless of who it’s on.
