Peace for whom? As far as I can tell since Nakba, the Palestinian people have not really had peace. Additional many other countries are often suffering under the boot of colonialism.

I never understand the constant pressure to the middle class and “poor.” Like how do you expect ANYTHING to get done if people have nothing?
I always go back to thinking about corporations and anyone who produces a “product” and think what consumer will spend the money they don’t have so some company and their board can have more money? If consumers have no money to spend, how will the rich continue to extract it from them? You can’t draw blood from a stone. They don’t even have to care about people, but if there’s literally nothing to take from them, then where is all the “wealth” coming from?
Bruh, a new color dropped before GTA 6??
That’s a bit unnecessary. I’m just pointing out people are trying to compare two things that aren’t the same.
By that logic though, I think Nintendo has a “dumb cock” for charging as much as they are for Switch 2, so I’m not really sure what it tastes like.
I see a lot of people ragging on the switch and comparing it to the Steam Deck. I own both but
I’m gonna say this: they’re not even direct competitors. They don’t offer the same experiences at all.
The beauty of the Switch is the ease of use, modularity of control, and communal nature of it. Even if switch online sucks, playing with other switches or 8 people in the same room with certain games is unbelievably easy. The plug and play usability and every single game you can buy from the internal store just works.
Not to mention the dock is flawless and literally easy to use. For all its problems, the switch is a surprisingly well executed idea. There’s a reason they sold hundreds of millions of them.
Steam is catching up, but there’s still a ways to go between proton compatible games, connecting controllers, plugging into a dock without having to bend down and plug a cable etc. The Switch is simply put: easy.
That said, Nintendo is stupid for pricing the Switch 2 out of the “no brainer” casual gamer territory.
I know our elections are bought and sold but this feels a little…. On the nose.
So with just a little bit of research: You’re right. However, 3 of Fords most popular models are in fact produced in Canada. This begs the question though: do these tariffs apply to production or simply “company country of origin?”
What’s ironic is that more foreign owned brands have production plants in the US than US brands at this point. Nissan Toyota and Honda all have US plants. GM Ford and Chrysler all have plants primarily in Canada and Mexico.
Apparently he was always a creep.
Watergate was a really big deal. By all accounts, it still technically is. It’s pretty blatant corruption and was cartoonishly executed. That said, what’s happening now is under the guise of “making America greater.”
The players are equally cartoonish goons (Anthony Scaramucci? Guilliani? Steve Bannon? His entire administration was toon town) but Trump is slimier than Nixon and is great at getting people to do his bidding for access. The deluge of news and control of the narrative they have has greatly played into their hand. They figured out how to rig the modern media machine. Nixon could never have done that.
It’s looking like we’re doing a China again.
Companies are dumping tons of money and putting their vital resources in the UAE cause it’s cheaper and/or they can get away with murder.
This will not end well and we will end up creating a new super power nation cause capitalists hate the poor so much here that they will risk the nations standing to make an extra buck.
