The thing that finally made me snap was gaming, of all things. Windows 11 would just NOT just leave my GPU drivers alone! If Windows isn’t even better for gaming, what’s the point? As you say, Linux takes a non-trivial amount of work to set up and get used to, but at least once I got it set up I don’t have to constantly fight it like with Windows.
