I never really worked much with rpm-ostree, besides a short stint with Bazzite. But never really customized it, so I don’t really know how that experience is. But I would encourage you to look into NixOS (or something else not image based) whenever you feel to experiment with another immutable. It’s very nice for servers.
You don’t have to reboot to adjust configuration or update. At least not with NixOS, don’t know much about other immutables.
Why not an immutable OS for servers? It seems like an even better choice for servers than for a desktop to me. It’s basically just like docker/containers but for your whole OS, configuration-wise.
I love my declarative NixOS servers/systems, and would never go back to imperative setups, it just seems archaic. The only exception I have (for now) is my pfSense router, as I don’t trust myself enough to setup a secure router.

I honestly don’t get why anyone would have bought an Intel in the last 3-4 years. AMD was just better on literally every metric.
I’m mixed on this. If the algorithm is known, big channels would just game it. They still will figure it out now and game, but it might take a bit longer. Just like these days most of timef the top 20 results with Google are completely useless nowadays because it’s either AI slop or pure marketing.
Wouldn’t surprise if this is part of the scam. Put on tarrifs, hike prices. Let the customer pay and then give companies a rebate with tax money. So the average citizen is charged twice. And of course those price hikes will only go partially down. So the consumer keeps getting screwed.

So true, I’ve officially bought my last Intel product, though I didn’t know it at the time… A shame cause I was interested in their GPUs at maybe some point in the future. From now on it’s either ARM or AMD. Can’t support a company (partially) controlled by a fascism regime.
Yes that would be nice to have. Sadly when I bought my Roomba I didn’t care too much about that. My next one will be hackable though.
I was mostly talking about roombas/indoor. For outdoors you have GPS with RTK which most mowers use that work without a boundary wire, afaik.

Hasn’t this problem long been solved in roomba’s? Mine is about 8 years old and it doesn’t go around randomly. I assumed all new models don’t do that anymore, except for some very cheap off brand vacuum robots.

Sorry that I don’t feel like being detained for nothing in an country with basically no rule of law left. To fight against a government that’s not mine.
To be honest though, I do pass judgment because the time to stand up against the US government was decades ago. I fear it’s already way too late now.
There is no way in hell im flying to the US right now. And probably never in my lifetime again.
It might not be France, but you can still learn a lot from them. Stop with one day protests a la the Kings Day protests. Those don’t work. A protest with a deadline will just be waited out. If you want change, you stop when demands are met. If only 25% of the Kings day protestors went to DC and just sat there till change happened, things might have actually worked out. Spread over 2000+ locations and one day? Nothing will happen. Only maybe strengthen others in a shared goal. Sadly nobody marched to DC afterwards.
Living paycheck to paycheck sucks, but if you’re not willing to commit and they know it. Why would they listen? It’s not going to improve like that. It’s clear the US gov doesn’t gives a rats ass about the wellbeing of the majority.
