That’s easy. What about when they get older?
The terror will continue until you join us, then we will be nice, I promise!
I’m not sure what “don’t fuck with immutable anything” means, but distros built with rpm-ostree (like all the Fedora immutable distros) make it easy to switch distros. You can switch from Silverblue (Gnome) to Kinoite (KDE), to Bazzite for gaming, to Aurora for development, to a growing list of other distros with a single command. And it’s not just Fedora distros either. You can try a lot without committing.
Similar here. Left Red Hat for Ubuntu Warty because reviews suggested it was great (it was). Left Ubuntu for Debian because of snaps (not so great). Left Debian for Fedora because immutable sounded like less system admin and more using apps (it is).
Do LLMs not exhibit emergent behaviour? But who am I, a simple skin-bag of chemicals, to really say.
Elon Musk says he champions free speech. He does not.
I agree not brilliant, but It’s early days. If one is looking to mechanise a process like finding bugs, you have to start somewhere. Determine how to measure success, set performance baselines and all that.
You’re right, probably better put as: if he’d spent his time writing instead of working on that contraption, he’d have produced more books in the first month.
You might need to be more specific. Your VPN needs an Internet connection in order to be established in the first place.
And if Gutenberg had just written faster, he would’ve produced more books in the first week?
Yeah, those people who use and recommend it are just in the pocket of Big Fedora!
Théoden held up his hand. “Yes, we will have peace,” he said now in a clear voice, “we will have peace, when you and all your works have perished–and the works of your dark master to whom you would deliver us.”
Anyone else hoping for typewriters to come back, some with new designs? Just me?
AI is not just limited to these overhyped plagiarism machines. Will consent laws kill vision systems? Will they kill classifiers? Will they kill gradient descent? No, they won’t.
You can cool servers way better on Earth than you can in space. Down here you can transfer heat away from the server with conduction and convection, but in space you really only have radiation. Cooling spacecraft is an engineering challenge. One might imagine a server stuck inside a glass thermos that’s sitting out in the sun.
Agreed. For a new user that wants to minimise system maintenance I’d recommend the atomic version, Fedora Kinoite. Flatpak plus rpm-ostree makes it like a phone where you can just do system updates and install/remove apps.
I think they want to give away computers without user accounts already created, that’s all.
The same Alina Habba who, when asked whether she’d rather be smart or pretty, chose pretty because you can fake being smart.

Oh, I’ve been sued by Disney.
