google “facebook mental health” and you’ll get an idea. if you’re fine using it, that’s great. but not everyone is like you. and the “i’m fine with this–everyone else should be too!” attitude is one thing i saw constantly on facebook.

having been on facebook since ~2009 it was undeniably hard to quit, but finally deleting it (not ‘deactivating’) last year was one of the best things i’ve ever done for my mental health

i have to say, if i were a prospective student, i’d still be looking elsewhere for schooling at this point. the bullshit might be “blocked” for now, but it’s not remotely worth the risk of getting started and then being deported (or worse) in the middle of a program

i’m brand new to linux after decades of windows. is there a comprehensive resource that talks about security on linux beyond just “linux is super secure don’t worry about it”? i feel like the more people continue to ditch windows, the more scammers are going to focus their energy on linux, and i know next to nothing
